TMC workers stop bus from Karnataka over Cauvery issue

Demanding release of Cauvery water, a group of Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) workers today briefly blocked a Karnataka State Transport Corporation bus from Mysore at the bus stand here.

They pasted pamphlets demanding that Karnataka Government release water from its reservoirs into Cauvery immediately to meet the irrigation requirements in Tamil Nadu, police said.

After staging a brief demonstration, they allowed the bus which arrived from Mysore with passengers to enter the bus stand.

On being informed about the protest, police rushed to the bus stand following which the TMC workers dispersed.
