Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit today greeted weightlifter Sathish Kumar Sivalingam, hailing from the state, for winning gold in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Australia.
"Sathish Kumar has brought pride to India and Tamil Nadu through his remarkable achievement."
" I am sure this will motivate him to win many more gold medals for India in the Olympics and other prestigious international tournaments in the future," he said in a Raj Bhavan statement.
Purohit extended his" hearty congratulations" to Sathish, who won his second gold medal in a successive CWG event at Gold Coast in Australia.
