Toshiba Group firm TPSC (I) to expand assembly plant of water turbines

Toshiba Group firm TPSC (India) today said it will expand its assembly plant of water turbines for small and medium sized hydroelectric power project.

TPSC (India) is a 100 per cent Indian subsidiary of Toshiba Plant Systems & Services Corporation in Japan, a Toshiba Group company.

Currently, the TPSC (I) plant in Delhi-NCR (Greater NOIDA, UP) assembles water turbines for small and medium sized hydroelectric power facilities ranging between 1 MW to 15 MW capacity, a company statement said.

Chinese handset maker Oppo today said it will launch its sub-brand for the e-commerce channel 'Realme' in the Indian market in partnership with Amazon India.

 

The first device from the youth-centric mobile devices brand, Realme 1 will be launched on May 15, 2018, Oppo said in a statement.

The Realme devices, which will be priced between Rs 10,000-20,000, will be made in India at Oppo's production facility in India.

Under the SNF@School program, fun and interactive awareness sessions will be organised to make learning about safe and nutritious food easier and simpler for children.

V-Mart to appoint Samir Misra as COO *

V-Mart, affordable apparel and lifestyle product retail chain, has announced to appoint Samir Misra as its Chief Operating Officer.

Misra, in this role, will be responsible for spearheading the development and execution of long-term strategies with the goal of increasing shareholder value, V-Mart said in a statement.

Prior to this, Misra worked in leadership roles at Aditya Birla Group for brands like Pantaloons and The Collective.
