Truck driver disappears with cargo of 180 refrigerators

The driver of a truck has gone missing after allegedly stealing 180 refrigerators with which the vehicle was loaded, police said today.

According to police, one Rajkumar, a resident of Raja Garden here, had sent a consignment of 180 refrigerators to a company on a truck which was being driven by a resident of Ghazipur Road, identified as Ramrup.

A couple of days after the truck was dispatched, Rajkumar learnt that the vehicle was found parked in Transport Nagar, Gwalior, with its cargo missing and the driver untraceable.

A case has been registered and a probe is on in the matter, police added.
