A local court today sentenced a software engineer to life imprisonment for murdering his wife two years ago.
According to Prosecution, R.Mani alias Manikandan (29) of Chinnabargur, 28 km from here, murdered his wife following an altercation on August 17,2012.
When the case came up before the Krishnagiri Women's Court,the Judge C.Thirumagal sentenced him to life imprisonment and also imposed a penalty of Rs.5000 on him.
Manikandan has been lodged in Salem Central Prison.
