Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board, which administers the famous Lord Venkateswara temple among others, Putta Sudhakar Yadav Wednesday resigned from the post.
Yadav, appointed during the previous TDP regime, had earlier this month declined to quit the post after the YSR Congress Party swept to power in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.
However, he sent his resignation letter to the TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, Wednesday evening, citing personal reasons, a temple official told PTI.
The TDP leader from Kadapa district had assumed charge as TTD Chairman along with 17 other board members in April last year.
