Press Trust of India New Delhi
Turmeric and jeera prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on the back of increased buying by retailers amidst fall in supplies from producing belts.

Besides, a firming trend at futures market supported the uptrend.

Turmeric prices were up by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 7,100-11,600 per quintal.

Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded higher by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 11,300-11,500 and Rs 14,500-15,000 per quintal, respectively.

Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up turmeric and jeera prices.
