Press Trust of India New Delhi
Turmeric and jeera prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today largely influenced by fall in supplies from producing belts against fresh buying by retailers and stockists.

Firming trend in futures market also supported the uptrend.

Turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 7,200-11,700 per quintal.

Jeera common and jeera best quality also went higher by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 11,400-11,600 and Rs 14,600-15,100 per quintal, respectively.

Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against tight supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up turmeric and jeera prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
