Two arrested for killing snake and eating it

Two persons were arrested today on the charge of killing a non-poisonous snake and consuming its meat at hilly Valparai in the district, forest officials said.

Based on information that two youths had killed a snake and consumed after frying it, forest department officials rushed to the place and allegedly caught them red handed.

Since killing a snake violated Wildlife Protection Act, both were arrested.
