Two get 10 years in jail for abducting, raping girl

A fast track court here has sentenced two persons to 10 years imprisonment for abducting and raping a girl in 2013.

Judge Om Vir Singh, yesterday, also imposed a fine of Rs 14,000 on each of the accused -- Pervaiz and Tipu -- holding them guilty for rape and kidnapping.

A 16-year-old girl was abducted and raped by them in a village on February 25, 2013. The girl was rescued on August 15, 2013, government lawyer Sitaram Arye said.
