Two persons were today sentenced to life imprisonment by a court for killing a 29-year old man by hitting him with stones in full public view at a traffic signal here in 2011, CCTV visuals of which had caused an outrage.

Principal District Judge N Seshasayee awarded life imprisonment to Ramachandran and Krishnan and two of their associates Ganesan and Murugan to six months imprisonment.

The prosecution case was that the four had accosted victim Santhoshkumar after a drunken brawl near the signal in Saibaba Colony locality on July 12, 2011 in broad daylight.
