Two killed, four injured in country bomb explosion

Two persons were killed and four others were injured when a country bomb they were making exploded at Kollavallur at nearby Pannur, police said.

The condition of two of the injured is serious, they said, adding, all the six are reportedly CPI(M) workers.

Police officials have been sent to the spot and searches are being conducted, Thalassery Rural Superintendent of Police Prateesh Kumar, said.

Bomb and dog squads have also been rushed to the spot.
