Two linemen die after receiving electric shock

Two linemen were today killed after they suffered shock while repairing electricity line in Rudrapur area here, police said.

Rajesh (40) and Ramesh (45) were seriously injured when current started flowing in the line that they were repairing in Mednapur village this afternoon, Station Officer Virendra Yadav said.

He said both the linemen died during treatment.

Yadav said an FIR has been lodged against sub-divisional officer and junior engineer of the power department in this regard.
