Two moderate quakes strike Chile, capital shakes

Two moderate earthquakes have hit Chile, and one of them shook the capital, though no injuries or damage were reported.
The US Geological Survey says a magnitude-5.5 quake hit at 5:43 a m (843 GMT) today about 19 miles (30 kilometres) from the northern city of Calama, causing no damage.
A second quake of magnitude-5.2 hit at 10:35 a.M. (1335 GMT).

It caused tall buildings to sway in Santiago, 104 miles (167 kilometres) north-northeast of the epicenter. But Chile's emergency services office says no damage to infrastructure has been reported.
Chile is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries. A magnitude-8.8 quake and the tsunami it unleashed killed more than 500 people in 2010.
