Two persons from Tripura were arrested here after a huge quantity of ganja worth several lakh was seized from their possession, police said.
The accused have been identified as Hirani Deb Barma (26) and Mangal Deb Burma (19), both hailing from West Tripura district, they said.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar police station D Prasad said the duo were arrested by the patrolling party while they were moving suspiciously in Police Bazaar area in the morning.
Around 41 kg of ganja worth several lakh was seized from their possession, he said while informing that the seizure made was a big catch by the police after a very long time.
