Two youths were killed and three others injured when a car in which they were traveling overturned near Bhiwani Rohilla village when the driver tried to avert hitting a cow on Hisar-Balsamand road here, police said today.
The victims were identified as Sanjay Kumar (20), a resident of Kaund village in Karnal district and Mangaldeep alias Sheelu (19) of village Bhiwani Rohilla (Hisar), they said.
The injured Chandi Ram, Tiraspal and Kulbir Singh were admitted to a private hospital where the condition of Tiraspal was stated to be critical.
According to police, the car occupants were returning to village Bhiwani Rohilla yesterday evening after purchasing some goods for a marriage function.
When they reached near village Bhiwani Rohilla, a cow appeared on the road after which the driver of the car lost control and the vehicle turned turtle, they added.
