Two youths shot dead

dead by unidentified men here, police said today.

The youths, identified as Vaidyanath Sahni and Ramnaresh Sahni were called by unidentified persons to meet them in a village last night where they were shot dead after tying their hands and legs, Superintendent of Police Ganesh Kumar said.

The bodies were recovered from Phulwaria ghat village today and sent for post-mortem, he said adding five empty cartridges were recovered from the spot.

It appeared to be case of gang war between the rival groups as the slain youths duo were wanted in several cases of dacoity, Kumar said.

A murder case has been registered against six persons by the kins of the victims, he said adding an investigation was underway in the matter.
