The Aam Admi Party today said it has "no links" with 'Udta Punjab' and one of the producers of the film had quit the party after 2014-Lok Sabha polls.

"AAP doesn't have even a distant link with the film made by Samir Nair and Anurag Kashyap," AAP leader Sanjay Singh said, referring to the movie.

The Shiromani Akali Dal and censor board chief had accused the AAP of funding the film which highlights the drugs problem in Punjab.

When asked whether Nair, who is one of the producers of the film, joined the AAP, Singh said he had quit the party after 2014 polls.

Batting for film, Singh said, 'Udta Punjab' reflects the "truth of Punjab."

Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court today cleared the decks for the release of movie 'Udta Punjab', whose makers were locked in a dispute with the Central Board of Film Certification, after ordering deleting a urination scene and displaying a revised disclaimer.
