Uma expresses happiness over Vajpayee receiving Bharat Ratna

Union Minister Uma Bharti today expressed happiness over former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee receiving the Bharat Ratna.

"By conferring the Bharat Ratna on Atal Bihari Vajpayee, it is the Bharat Ratna that has got honoured," Union Minister for Water Resources told reporters here.

However, when asked, she refused to comment on the delay in awarding the highest civilian honour on the BJP stalwart.
