A student of Berhampur University was seriously injured when miscreants allegedly opened fire on him at Podapadara in Odisha's Ganjam district, police said today.
Rajiv Das was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur after the incident that took place yesterday, they said.
"The incident took place on the outskirts of the village. We are yet to ascertain the motive behind the attack," Inspector In-Charge (IIC) of Chhatrapur police station, B P Patra, said.
