UP cabinet clears Noida police modernization plan

A police modernisation plan for Noida was today approved by Uttar Pradesh cabinet.

"A very ambitious police modernisation plan for Noida has been approved by the cabinet. The Noida authority will provide Rs 100 crore initially to the Noida police," UP Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan told reporters here.

He said five new police stations, including a cyber police station, have been sanctioned which will be constructed as modern police stations. Additional 100 vehicles will also be provided to the police, he said.

Ranjan said there were more plans to have intelligent traffic monitoring system, modern control room, CCTV coverage amongst others.
