Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Javeed Ahmad today reviewed law and order situation of the state with senior officers.
The DGP held a meeting with all zonal IGs, ADG, law and order, Special Task Force and Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) officer here and reviewed law and order and crime control measures initiated, IG (Lucknow zone) A Satish Ganesh, who attended the meeting, said.
The DGP stressed on the need to "maintain" communal harmony and directed all SSPs to ensure better communication with police personnel and not only hear but also redress their grievances, he said.
At the meeting emphasis was laid on security of public places and senior officials were asked to be prompt.
