UPPSC exam leakage: 12 BJP youth wing protesters arrested

Around twelve activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), youth wing of BJP, were arrested today during their protest over leakage of UPPCS (Prelims) question paper, here, police said.

Hundreds of BJYM activists led by its district unit president Ratandutt Pandey shouted slogans over leakage of state's provincial civil services (UPPCS) preliminary examination question paper at Nausarh crossing, affecting traffic on Lucknow-Gorakhpur and Varanasi-Gorakhpur national highways, they said.

A team led by Belipar police station in-charge Brijesh Yadav rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the protesters, later resorted to mild force when they did not heed to police's requests, police said.
 

Normalcy was however restored later, police said.

Meanwhile, the BJP Yuva Morcha has alleged that some of its activists were injured in police lathicharge.
