Upset over husband's indifference, woman hangs herself

A 44-year-old woman today allegedly committed suicide by hanging at her home here, frustrated over her husband's indifference towards the family, police said.

Police said the woman, an elementary school teacher, was upset over her husband, working in Chennai, turning up only once a week and not taking care of the family.

Recently, they had quarrelled over the matter,police said.

A case has been registered following a complaint from the woman's daughter.
