Uttarakhand launches online single window system

In a bid to attract investors, Uttarakhand government has introduced an online single window system to clear investment proposals.

While launching Investuttarakhand.Com here yesterday, the state's Chief Minister Harish Rawat said an online single window system will help simplify and speed up the process of clearance to the investment proposals.

Apart from boosting investment in the state, the system will help generating employment avenues for the local youth.

Authorised committees headed at the state level by chief secretary and at the district level by District Magistrates have also been set up to deal with online investment proposals, an official release here said.
 

While the panel headed by Chief Secretary will deal will proposals for big and heavy industries, those headed by the DMs will handle proposals for micro, small and medium enterprises.

These panels will examine and take a call on investment proposals within a definite time-frame.

The portal will be run on a trial basis for six months.
