Villagers gherao BDO office

villagers from Simulpal gram panchayat area gheraoed the office of the Block Development Officer at Belpahari.

The residents of villages like Sankhabhanga, Rimradanga, Odolchua, Lawbani came in a procession and sat in a dharna in front of the BDO office.

They demanded permanent doctor and increase in the number of beds at ten-bed Odolchua primary health centre.

They also demanded that the recently closed homoeopathy department in the hospital should be reopened.

Block Medical Officer of Health Dr Sanjay Hansda said they have sought time to fulfil the demands of the villagers.

"We will soon look into their demands," he said.
