Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today lauded the UPA government move to bring in an ordinance on Food Security Bill.
Terming the ordinance as a historic decision, Singh said that this reflects the commitment of the UPA government towards the welfare of the poor and downtrodden.
He said the Food Security Bill would legally entitle over 67 per cent population of the country to subsidised foodgrains under the Targeted Public Distribution System.
