The American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in India today announced appointment of Walmart India President & CEO Krish Iyer as Chairperson of its National Executive Board.
Iyer succeeds Boeing India President Pratyush Kumar, who served from April 2016 to April 2018 as AMCHAM Chairperson, said a statement.
The election was made at the National Executive Board Meeting of AMCHAM India on April 26, 2018, it added.
Besides, Bank of America President & Country Head (India) Kaku Nakhate and Chairman and CEO, KPMG in India Arun Kumar are also appointed as Vice-Chairpersons.
While, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP Partner Atul Dhawan was also appointed as Secretary & Treasurer, it added.
US ambassador to India Kenneth I Juster is honorary president of AMCHAM India.
Commenting on the development Iyer said: "I look forward to leading AMCHAM as its Chairperson at a time when the Indo-US relationship has strengthened, both in terms of policy environment from respective governments and the significant contributions being made by US businesses in India.
