Navy has relieved Commanding Officer of warship INS Talwar of his command after the vessel was involved in collision with a fishing trawler, which sunk injuring four fishermen on board.
"The CO of INS Talwar has been relieved of his command duties," confirmed Navy sources.
In December last year, a fishing trawler sank after colliding with Navy's frontline frigate INS Talwar near Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra injuring four of the 27 persons on board the civilian vessel.

It is also learnt that Navy has constituted a board of inquiry into the incident involving submarine INS Sindhughosh.
Earlier this month, the Kilo class submarine nearly ran aground while entering the Mumbai harbour.
The submarine had encountered a situation where there was very less water in the harbour but it held to its position using ropes and other means.
In August last year, Navy lost its latest submarine INS Sindhurakshak after an explosion in its torpedo section killing all the 18 personnel on board.
