Water supply in city may take a hit

Water supply in some areas of the city will be affected due to annual flushing of DJB's underground water reservoirs in Shadipur and Rajinder Nagar in the next two days.

Supply will be low pressure or affected at East Patel Nagar, West Patel Nagar and Baba Faridpur due to flushing of Shadipur reservoir on March 9, a senior Delhi Jal Board (DJB) officer said.

Flushing of Rajinder Nagar reservoir and booster pumping station will hit water supply at New Rajinder Nagar, Double Story, NPL Colony, Pusa, South Patel Nagar, Todapur village on March 10.

Water tankers of DJB will be available for supply on demand of the residents of the affected areas, the officer added.
