The minimum temperature remained normal at most places in Punjab and Haryana, a meteorological department official said here today.
Chandigarh, the joint capital of the two states, registered a minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius, the official said.
In Haryana, the minimum temperature hovered close to normal in Ambala (10.6C), Hisar (9.7C), Karnal (7C), Rohtak (10.7C), Narnaul (9C) and Bhiwani (8.1C).

In Punjab, the minimum temperature in Amritsar settled at 6.8 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.
Ludhiana, Patiala, Pathankot, Adampur, Halwara, Bathinda and Faridkot, too, recorded normal minimum temperatures.
