Wheat prices strengthened by Rs 15 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to increased demand from flour mills.
However, rice basmati weakens on tepid demand.
Traders said pick up in demand from flour mills mainly kept wheat prices higher.

In the national capital, wheat MP (desi)and wheat dara (for mills) went up by Rs 15 each to Rs 2,115-2,365 and Rs 1,825-1,830 per quintal, respectively.
Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by Rs 10 to Rs 1,830-1,835 per 90 kg. Atta flour mills and maida also enquired higher by Rs 10 each to Rs 970-980 and Rs 1,000 -1,010 per 50 kg respectively in line with wheat trend.
On the other hand, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety eased by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,400-7,500 and Rs 6,000- 6,100 per quintal respectively.
