Wildlife photographer unveils book on images of 'closest wildlife encounters'

Wildlife photographer Latika Nath today unveiled her book that has photographs of some of her closest wildlife encounters, a statement said.

The book, titled 'Hidden India', is a coffee-table book and part of the proceeds from it will go to support the Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Centre to promote protection of India's elephants, it added.

Nath is India's first female biologist with a doctorate on tigers and she was dubbed The Tiger Princess' by National Geographic.

"All my life I have spent time with animals and in wilderness areas. My photographs in 'Hidden India' are of the closest wildlife encounters after months of waiting and searching. Images in the book include large cats, special birds, incredible deep sea denizens and wilderness, the author said.
