A woman and her brother-in-law were today arrested by Delhi Police in connection with a theft at a jewellery shop in Bhajanpura market here in November last year.
Pankhudi (45) and her brother-in-law Kanhiyya (30) were arrested from the Bhajanpura market in north-east Delhi after a tip-off was received that they were again active in the area.
Police had been on the lookout for the accused since the November 9 theft. They had entered the shop disguised as customers and made away with 14 pairs of gold earrings and eight pairs of silver 'pazeb' (anklets), police said.

However, the entire incident was recorded in CCTV cameras in the premises. Police have recovered two of the stolen anklets from their possession.
During interrogation, they disclosed that they along with two others, namely Suleman and Sajid, have been involved in various cases of robbery/snatching, police said.
Both Suleman and Sajid are absconding, police said, adding that further investigation is in process.
