Meanwhile, honorary director of a local NGO, Anil Gawade said this is a serious matter and alleged that police carried out "flawed" primary investigation.
"The incident happened on January 14, but police did not question the victim properly initially. They also did not question the locals who were witnesses to the incident. Police has carried out a flawed primary investigation," he said.
Raising concerns over the matter, Gawade, whose NGO 'Snehadhar' works for women's rights, also handed over a letter to district Superintendent of Police Suarabh Tripathi.
Social activist and advocate Shayam Asawa said this is a sign of total failure of law and order situation in the district whose guardian minister is Maharashtra's MoS for Home (Rural), Ram Shinde.
He said so far no leaders, including local MLA (from NCP) or the guardian minister visited the woman.
