A speeding truck crushed a woman to death on a highway at Bhusawal in the district this morning, a police official said.
The woman was hurriedly crossing the road near a hotel located on the national highway No. 6 when the truck hit the her around 11 am, he said.
The woman died on the spot, the official said.
The truck driver fled after the accident, he said, adding that a search was on for him.
