Woman dies of swine flu

A 39-year-old woman died of swine flu at government hospital here, hospital sources said today.

The woman, a resident of Saravanampatti in the city, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital for the last few days due to fever and throat pain, they said.

As the fever continued, she was shifted to the Government Hospital yesterday morning, where she tested positive for H1N1 virus.

She succumbed to the virus last night, the sources said.
