Woman killed for dowry in Faridabad

A 28-year-old woman was today killed allegedly by her husband and in-laws for dowry here.

The woman's brother received a call from her in-laws yesterday saying she was unwell and admitted to hospital where she died during treatment, police said.

The victim's family members have alleged that she has been killed by her husband and in-laws who used to harass her for dowry.

The woman was married for the past eight years to Mahipal, resident of Chandawali village here, and the couple has two children, police said.

A case has been registered against the victim's husband and in-laws, Investigation Officer ASI Raghubir Singh said, adding, the accused are absconding and they will be nabbed soon.
