Woman killed in lightning strike
A 20-year-old woman from Bhiwandi taluka in Thane district was killed Saturday in a lightning strike amidst heavy rains, district officials said.
The mother of the deceased Urmila Waghe and a four-year-old child were injured when a bolt from the sky fell on a locality in Umbarpada village around 5:30 pm.
The injured are admitted in hospital, they said.
