Woman kills daughter in UP

A 32-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly killing her five-month-old daughter in Gangoh area here, police said today.

The incident took place in Takaan mohalla area yesterday when the accused Reena, who wanted a male child, killed her daughter, cut-off her head from the torso and buried her near a cemetery, Superintendent of Police Mahendra Singh Yadav said.

The police have recovered the body.

Based on a complaint lodged by her father-in-law, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC against the woman.
