Woman Maoist surrenders before police in Telangana

A woman Maoist surrendered before the police in Bhadradri-Kottagudam district of Telangana today.

Sunnam Sridevi, who was active in the outlawed CPI Maoist for several years, surrendered before the police due to her ill-health, a police release said.

She was involved in exchange of fire with security forces at Kanchala and also in some murders, it said.

Police would make arrangements for her rehabilitation through the government, the release added.
