A woman and her paramour were found dead in suspicious circumstances in the district, police said today.
Maniram Meghwal (25), who was unmarried, and Sushila Devi (35), mother of six children, were working together as labourers.
Yesterday, Maniram was found hanging in a deserted hut while the woman's body was lying outside the hut, SHO Khetri Nagar Panna Lal said today.
Prima facie it seems that Meghwal committed suicide and the woman was strangulated to death, he said.
However, it is not clear whether Meghwal murdered the woman before committing suicide or someone else was involved in the crime, he said.
The bodies were handed over to their family members after postmortem yesterday and the matter is under investigation, he added.
