Woman shot dead in UP's Shamli

A 30-year-old woman was allegedly shot dead by four assailants when she was sleeping inside her house in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district, police said today.

The incident happened last night at Joshila's home in Jahanpura village under Kairana police station area in the district, a police official said.

The police are suspecting old enmity to be reason behind her killing. A case has been registered and search is on to nab the accused, who are absconding, they said.
