A 28-year-old woman and her two children were charred to death when a mud-built stove at their house in Khijdad village in Devbhoomi Dwarka district of Gujarat erupted into flames while cooking today, police said.
The incident occurred in the morning hours when Ilaba Jagdishsinh Jadeja was pouring kerosene in the stove, said police sub-inspector K K Suthar.
Ilaba and her sons Mitraj (12) and Divyaraj (six-months-old) suffered extensive burn injuries and died before they could be taken to hospital, he said.
A case of accidental death has been registered in this regard.
