A woman with her three minor children allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance in a village under Jiyapokhar police station area in Bihar's Kishanganj district, police said today.
The incident happened in Bandarjhula village last night as the 25-year-old Sushila Khatun allegedly mixed poison in the food of her two daughters Khushnavi (4) and Naz (1) and son Munil Alam (2) before consuming the same, they said, adding that all the four were found dead this morning.
Khatun, police suspected took the extreme step apparently in a fit of rage after her husband Mujib beat up her for protesting against his alleged extra-marital relationship with another woman of the same village.
