Women achievers in film and television felicitated

Bollywood celebrities including Kangana Ranaut, Imran Khan, Zoya Akhtar, Prosenjit Chaterjee and Anurag Kashyap came together to felicitate women who have made a mark in films and television under the aegis of WIFT (Women in films and television) here.

The event began with Kangna felicitating actress Dolly Ahluwalia, who won the National Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in 'Vicky Donor'.

Dolly said she feels blessed and honoured to be here at the event. Actress Tannishta Chatterjee, Usha Jadhav, Editor Namrata Rao, Priya Goswami, Assamese filmmaker Manju Bora and others were also felicitated at the event last night.
 

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao, who is associated with WIFT, said its a good way of celebrating the success of women national award winners and she would cooperate with endeavours of this organisation.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, felt that there is a need for WIFT to show the talent of women.

"All the women in my life control me.. Right from my mother to wife to daughter," he said.

Actor Imran Khan said it was a great collaboration of celebrating the talent of women.

While, Zoya advised not to listen to anybody and follow what one feels is right.
