Yet another cold day for Delhi; slight rise in minimum temp

Cold weather conditions continued to prevail in the national capital today though there was a slight increase in the minimum temperature which settled at 7.2 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.

Delhi had recorded a low of 6.5 degrees yesterday.

Dense foggy conditions were witnessed in certain parts of the city which reduced the visibility to 200 meters at 8.30 AM and 700 meters at 11.30 AM.

However, the conditions got better later in the day and the visibility improved to 3,000 meters at 2.30 PM.

Maximum temperature was recorded at 19.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, a MeT department official said, adding that the moisture content in air wavered between 100 and 41 per cent.
 

The MeT office has predicted clear skies for tomorrow.

"The skies will be mainly clear. Shallow to moderate fog would occur in several parts of the city. Dense fog would occur at isolated places. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 20 and 6 degree Celsius respectively," the weatherman said.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 19.2 degrees Celsius yesterday.
