A 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by a youth in Ramala area here, police said today.
The girl was abducted by accused Arif yesterday and taken to a house where he raped her, they said.
Police said the 25-year-old accused abducted the girl while she had gone to a nearby grocery shop, they said.
The accused released the girl by night. A case was lodged against Arif by the victim's family after the teen narrated the incident to them, they said.
He was arrested today, police said adding that the minor has been sent for medical examination.
The investigation is further on in the matter, they added.
