A youth died after a gang of goons allegedly attacked him with sharp weapons when he tried to resolve a dispute between them and a local hotel owner, police said.
Three others, one of them seriously, were also injured in the incident which took place yesterday.
Five accused have been arrested in this connection, police said.

The deceased was identified as Mushir Alam alias Pintu, while the critically injured Mashahar Alam alias Baba, has been admitted in ICU at a private hospital here.
"A gang of goons led by an externee, attacked the youths with sharp weapons when they tried to intervene and resolve a dispute between the goons and the owner of a hotel in Gandhi Chowk here last night," a police officer said.
Tension prevailed in the city forcing police to deploy a posse of cops to control the situation.
All the five accused-- Umesh Athawale (externee), Nilesh alias Bhurya Athawale, Shubham Jawanjal, Ankush Jirapure and Raja Mandve have been booked under various IPC sections.
Further investigation is on.
