Youth suffers injuries as collector's car hits his bike

A 22-year-old youth sustained minor injuries when his bike was hit by the car of District Collector Archana Patnaik near Pollachi in the district today, police said.

Archana was on her way to attend an official function when the mishap occurred, police said.

The car driver attempted to overtake another two-wheeler and in the process hit Ashwin's vehicle coming from opposite direction, they said.

The collector made arrangements for admiting Ashwin to a hospital for treatment, police said.
